What Slatework is

Slatework is a free toolkit for independent language tutors. Use the tools however helps you. There's no signup, no payment, no quota you have to clear.

What Slatework is not

Slatework is not legal, tax, or financial advice. The tax-setup, insurance, and rate tools surface country-specific information accurate to the date stamped at the bottom of each country's data file — but they're estimates and starting points, not professional guidance. Confirm with a local accountant, lawyer, or insurance broker before making decisions that depend on the output.

The AI-backed tools

Lesson plan, worksheet, marking, and CEFR AI tools generate output from a language model. Always review what they produce before using it with a student or parent. The model can be wrong; you are the teacher.

Liability

Slatework is provided as-is. We're not liable for losses arising from your use of the tools. If a tool gives you a wrong number, please email hello@slatework.tools so we can fix it.

Acceptable use

Don't try to overload the AI-backed endpoints (rate limits apply). Don't use the marking accelerator on writing the student didn't consent to share, even anonymized.
